Nothing like playing at the Triangle Splash Pad on a hot day, but it sure is hard to get a drink from this fountain.

It's too quiet
Sometimes you just have to leave the room for a few minutes, so if it gets too quiet you get worried.
This morning it got too quiet and to my surprise this is all I found. Hudson just sitting quietly in his room reading the book "I love you so..."

More Preschool Pics
Ms. Christine said she misses Hudson so much and wants to know what Hudson is up to, so we thought we'd post a few more more pics of Hudson's classroom and new friends. This post is dedicated to Ms. Christine, who I know Hudson is going to miss terribly too!
This is Ms. Judi, trying to get Hudson to look at the camera!
This is Ms. Joanne, who Auntie Melinda says is FABULOUS and who oversees all three toddler classes.
This is his classroom, with all the parents milling around. There are three classes of 8 toddlers each, all in ONE classroom! Yes, they even nap together in this room! (I will believe it when I see it!)
Another classroom shot.
Here's Hudson playing with Ms. Judi on his favorite thing in his classroom, the train set!
Loves that train set!
We think Hudson is going to be a happy boy at pre-school! We'll let you know! School starts on Monday!

Meeting Ms. Judi
Today we went to Meet the Teacher day at Hudson's new pre-school. He met Ms. Judi in the pretty blue outfit, and she was so nice. But his favorite part was the awesome train set they had. Fun!

Laughs at lunch
That Buela is so funny! Hudson just kept laughing and laughing at her antics after a big lunch at Mandola's.

Day 2 at Camp
Big Boy at the Bouncehouse
Sunday was only his second time to Kidz-N-Play, a giant indoor bouncehouse, and he acts like he has been playing there forever. What a fun time!

First day of camp
I'm going to be honest - today was a hard day. I didn't think it would be that way. Hudson was going to his first day of CAMP - a super fun sounding morning activity that I thought would ease him into preschool next week.
But Hudson got up (early!), seeming to have his teeth hurting again (we've had such a nice break). We tried Motrin, but it didn't seem to help.
Things got harder getting Hudson ready for camp. Since it was Western Day at camp, I tried to put a bandana on him. I'm not sure which he hated more, his bandana or his fab backpack from the Walkers.
Then we got there and Hudson was fine for 2 minutes, exploring the room.
But then, he cried for the better part of the hour, so much so that the counselor texted me a photo to show me that he was reading this book over and over, so he was "fine." (I didn't point out that it was a gymnastics camp.)
Before we left, I gave Western Day one last chance, but Hudson was only moderately amused.
Here's hoping for a better day tomorrow!

Happy Left Handed Day
Here is Hudson yesterday - celebrating the holiday or foreshadowing what is to come?!
We also went to the doctor yesterday. Hudson is still 95-100th percentile (34.5) in height and perfect weight (25.6 lbs).
He still isn't very communicative (except non-stop babbling), but Dr. Dawson wasn't too worried. We think Hudson is putting all his energy into making his old mommy and daddy chase him!

No shirt, no problem!
When Hudson gets so dirty in the park that Miss Christine has to give him a bath before lunch, we know if was a fun day!

Shoots and Scores
Hudson loved it this evening when we put his new basketball goal together. If his reaction was any preview for days to come, we may have quite a ballplayer on our hands. (We may also quickly learn why Mom always said "Don't play ball in the house!") ;)

Chickens!
We started our 17 year anniversary with breakfast at a Mexican hole in the wall. Luckily there were a bunch of chickens next door that were super fun to watch!

Tired
Hudson has been getting mommy and daddy up at 5:30 am again, and today he was so tired by 10:30 that he had fallen asleep in the middle of all his toys!
Our little businessman
The Business Catalog from Dell with exclusive offers for Hudson... I guess Dell thinks Hudson needs to upgrade his Winnie the Pooh talking laptop, and has started a side business selling cheerios at the playground.

Barack in the Box never gets old
Aunt Tracy and Uncle Scott gave Hudson a Barack-in-the-Box when he was born. With his recent interest in hiding and saying "Boo", Hudson loves having Barack jump out and say "Boo" too.
