Our Aquatot
Hudson is back at the pool getting ready for summer. He started Advanced Aquatots class today and was loving every minute of it. (even the back float)

The Sweetest Boy
Tonight, I had a dilemma. At Ronald McDonald last night, I met a little boy with a health issue that was causing him great pain, and his mom mentioned to me that he didn't have any button-down shirts, so he had worn his hospital gown since Friday, when they'd been temporarily released.
So I got him some Cars jammies and a Lightening McQueen car (talking, no less). The dilemma was, do I take Hudson to deliver them to the little boy? On one hand, it could be a good chance to show him compassion for this sick little boy. But on the other hand, it could be too much to ask, having Hudson give his absolute favorite thing to this child.
We talked about it all the way to Ronald, while Hudson played with the car and told me all about it (and became more attached, I feared). But he was such a trooper. He said he wanted to make this boy happy with the car and make his mommy happy. He told me maybe he could go to the hospital and make all the sick children happy.
Then it was time. The moment of truth to see if Hudson would in fact give away the car. He put it in the bag for the child and gave it willingly, then grabbed my hand and walked away with me.
It was the sweetest thing I've ever seen. You think you love your child as much as you possibly could, and then they do something so sweet and selfless that blows your mind.
I love being a mom. I love Hudson.
